With mobile data becoming more affordable, many more Indians can now afford to get onto the smartphone bandwagon. These days, even affordable smartphones come with all of the features you’d expect to see on more expensive devices, including high-resolution screens, good cameras, fingerprint sensors and 4G connectivity. We’ve put together a list of some of the best affordable smartphones - priced at under Rs. 10,000 - that you can buy today.

Although there have been some interesting recent launches such as the Realme 3, some of best options in this price category have been around for a few months already. We’ve compiled a list of the best smartphones you can buy today at under Rs. 10,000, which includes options from brands such as Asus, Nokia, Honor, Lenovo and Infinix, to name a few. We’ve restricted this list to phones priced at between Rs. 7,000 and Rs. 10,000, and have been reviewed by me.

1) Realme Narzo 10A

Realme Narzo 10A smartphone was launched on 11th May 2020. The phone comes with a 6.52-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720x1600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Realme Narzo 10A is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G70 processor. It comes with 3GB of RAM. The Realme Narzo 10A runs Android 10 and is powered by a 5000mAh battery.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Realme Narzo 10A on the rear packs a 12-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture; a second 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture and a third 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera setup has phase detection autofocus. It sports a 5-megapixel camera on the front for selfies.

The Realme Narzo 10A runs Realme UI based on Android 10 and packs 32GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card with a dedicated slot. The Realme Narzo 10A is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The Realme Narzo 10A measures 164.40 x 75.00 x 8.95mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 195.00 grams. It was launched in So Blue and So White colours.

Connectivity options on the Realme Narzo 10A include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB OTG, Micro-USB, FM radioWi-Fi Direct, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India) with active 4G on both SIM cards. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. The Realme Narzo 10A supports face unlock.
